Plant Life Cycles
Students learn about the life cycle of plants by watching a time-lapse video, observing a plant and seeds and have the opportunity to germinate their own seeds using one of the optional activities that are shown in two additional video segments. The videos can be viewed on a trial basis, but to continue using the website,Teacher's Domain, teachers need to sign up for use at no cost. Students learn about the life cycle of plants and that all living things grow and change as they go through their life cycle. Directions for setting up a germination experiment and how to grow seeds they collect on their socks are shown in two videos. There is also a short time-lapsed video, From Seed to Plant, showing a seed sprouting and growing. The lesson plan contains suggestions for good activities to do with the videos and in class.
