Learning Cycles on Harmonic Motion and Wave
From Rutgers University, this resource contains several videotaped experiments in the area of harmonic motion and waves. Questions to guide student exploration are provided. In observing the behavior of springs and pendulums, the student determines what can affect the period of two common types of simple harmonic oscillators. In several videos, slinkies are used to demonstrate aspects of wave mechanics, such as fixed and open-ended reflection.
