Compare and Contrast Unit Lesson 3: Similarities and Differences in a Text
A complete lesson plan is provided including a guide for direct teaching guided practice as well as a student independent practice sheet. The lesson plan suggests using the book Long Ago and Today by Rozanne Lanczak Williams. Teacher uses direct instruction and guided practice to compare and contrast information found in the text. Students respond independently by drawing and writing on a graphic organizer. You may need to register to use this site, however, it is completely free.
