This one page PDF gives simple strategies for reading informational text. The first section tells children what to do before reading (think about prior knowledge, preview/predict, and form questions). The second section outlines what to do while reading (word attack and basic reading strategies). The last section encourages students to summarize and reflect upon what was read.
