Complete Sentences
This is a brief example that revises sentence fragments using broken (choppy) dialogue taken from trade books. The two trade books cited are The Indian in the Cupboard, by Lynne Reid Banks, and The Bridge to Terabithia, by Katherine Paterson. Students will correct quotes taken from the dialogue spoken by the characters in trade books. This will an authentic experience with spoken and written language.
