Krista Ann graduated from Tennessee Tech with a B.S. in Early Childhood Special Education. She is dually certified to teach both general education and special education but has taught in a special education pre-K classroom for the past three
years. Krista Ann taught her first year in Cheatham County and then moved to teach with Metro Nashville Public Schools for the past three years. Krista Ann has done various research on early intervention, the use of visuals with non-verbal students, and how to create equity in the classroom environment by including all learners every day. She has led numerous professional developments, workshops, and trainings for fellow teachers and she regularly returns to her alma mater to speak about the importance of developmentally appropriate practice in the early childhood classroom. Krista Ann enjoys spending time with her family, serving in her church, crafting, reading, and adventuring outdoors.
