In 2000, Jay graduated from Lipscomb with a Bachelor’s degree in ministry. With this degree, he was able to spend several years in youth ministry before he received a Master’s in education from MTSU. Jay worked at MTSU as an adjunct and traveled abroad representing both the education department and the school itself as a teacher. He worked for Murfreesboro City Schools for 5 years as an education facilitator before moving to his current role at Middle Tennessee Christian School. During his years of educational work, Jay has constantly looked for ways to make learning fun and engaging.
