Igniting Cross-Curricular Instruction through Technology & Project-Based Learning

Date / time:
Saturday, October 27, 2018 - 9:40am (30 minutes)
Location:
Ezell 205

Teaching the modern student is becoming more difficult every year. It can sometimes feel like a daunting task to find new instructional routines that captivate students' interests as much as the readily available technology around them. Participants in this breakout session will be able to explore a more modern instructional approach that can help to connect several core-curricular concepts at once, making it more time efficient and relevant to modern learners. Participants will also gain a fresh perspective on how to actively engage learners in all academic standards, while integrating popular technology tools alongside the more traditional ones. Each participant will also leave with several planning guides, including an original example of a five-week PBL unit to adapt and use within their own classroom. Come and explore the numerous positive impacts that Project-Based Learning can have for both educators and students!
