Join members of the Tennessee Educational Equity Coalition for a full day of learning about Tennessee's ESSA plan and what it will mean for students, schools and communities across the state. Our featured speaker is Liz King, Senior Policy Analyst & Director of Education Policy at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights in Washington, D.C.
Attendees will get a history and overview of the Every Student Succeeds Act, and will participate in an in-depth examination of the key pieces of the Tennessee plan. We will also equip attendees to share this important information with their local networks and community members. We encourage Coalition organizations to bring a team to the Bootcamp.
Expert presenters include staff from:
- Tennessee Department of Education
- SCORE
- Tennessee Education Research Alliance
- Conexión Américas
There is no cost to attend, and breakfast and lunch will be provided. Attendees will be sent a a list of pre-reading materials two weeks prior to the ESSA Bootcamp.
This seminar will be held in the Ezell Center on the campus of Lipscomb University (campus map).
